Lost in the wood

Oliver walked through the wood, leaves crunching under his feet as he followed the faded dirt path. Judging by his watch is was getting quite late and if it got dark... he shuddered to think. He kept walking, the trees passing him one by one; the owls watching from there holes and a chilling wind blowing and whistling through the entire wood. Oliver stopped "This can't be the right way." He looked around. "Maybe I should just turn back... if I knew witch way was back" Oliver buried his face in his palms. "Why'd I have to get lost here of all places."

Marisa walked nearby, seeming to disappear and reappear with the trees in the way. She wasn't in her kampfer form and obviously not noticing that anyone was near her. She was quietly singing something that couldn't be heard to herself as she walked.

Oliver spun around looking in all directions. Sigh* "Which way should I go?" He said aloud to himself. Then randomly turning round and pointing in a random direction. "I'LL GO THIS WAY!" He shouted, in an attempt to make the matter a little more encouraging. He started walking in the direction he pointed, not knowing if it lead out or further in, always keeping a close eye on the trees as they passed just in case.

Marisa stopped where she was when she heard the shout. She stood behind a tree, out of view of Oliver. "I guess I'm not as alone as i thought was i?" She said just loudly enough for him to hear.

Hearing something Oliver stopped and froze for a second or two before quickly turning clockwise then couter-clockwise. Seeing nothing he looked straight on. "Hello?" Oliver called out. "Anyone out there?"

Marisa still kept herself out of view. "Either your hearing is poor or you're just an idiot. Either way i should probably kill you... maybe. Do you understand it all? Why are we supposed to kill each other..." Since Oliver had looked the wrong way she managed to get a glimpse of him and saw who it was.

"Kill me?" She must be a kampfer oliver thought "but then why haven't I changed." He looked at his bracelet, then in a flash grabbed a stick from the ground, holding it and spinning round ready for what was to come.

Marisa moved to another location quickly,a and out of view still, though now she could see him...barely. "Is that a stick? Not much of a weapon...but i won't attack you now..not yet. I'm half surprised you don't recognize my voice...do you?"

"Recognize your voice?" Oliver thought for a second "your voice? your voice, your voice?" Oliver lowered the stick "Marisa? is that you?"

"Took you a while." She still didn't reveal herself. "So should i let you run and i chase you and stab you in the back? or do you want a fair fight?"

"A fight? We're on the same side! Red bracelets remember." Oliver raised he stick back up in front of him. "Why do you want to fight me?"

Marisa blinked. "Oh....right...i guess......sorry i..." She walked out where he could see her. "My mind isn't working right...this whole fighting thing..i know i have to so...I'm trying to get used to the idea that i have to kill...and i forgot there were even teams..." She looked down at her feet, swaying slightly and zoned out. "I just don't want this..i don't want to have to kill..but most of all i just don't want to die... Gherik could handle this kind of thing, but then he has the personality of someone in the tactical military.. I have the personality of a wimp trying act like a tough bitch.... Why am i even confiding in you?" She then dropped to her knees and held her face in her hands.

Oliver dropped the stick and walked over to Marisa, knelling down infront of her. "Its okay, I know how you feel; I don't to be a kampfer ether, I don't want to have to kill or be killed. Your not a wimp, you'll never be a wimp, and anyone who says you are doesn't have a clue what their talking about." Oliver pulled a packet of tissues out of his pocket and offered one to Marisa.

Marisa stared at nothing again, not really seeing anything right now. "At least your strong enough to not break down like this... i get myself ready to kill, find out its an ally and start breaking apart. Maybe i should just hand myself to the other team right now and be done with it. or maybe I'll just run away into the woods...that sounds good...never have to see anyone again..."

Sofia hummed a tune in her head as she walked silently through the woods, spinning a knife in one hand. She considered looking around for Marisa, to see exactly what she was like, but decided to just keep walking, she might even run into her if she was lucky.

After a minute or so, she heard people talking, and upon investigation saw two people kneeling in the dirt. Raising her eyebrows slightly she took a step closer and rested her shoulder against a tree trunk, curious.

"I wonder what I just ran into.." She murmured, her eyes glinting as she watched.

"Hand your self to the other team? Run into the woods, never to be seen again?" Oliver said slowly and quietly looking down at his feet. Then looking up suddenly, Oliver emphasized "Oh yeah! Where would that leave me huh? Lost and alone in this god forsaken place! You can't! Think of all the people who would miss you: your brother, your family and friends... and me. All of them!" Oliver stood up and looked at his feet again, his hair draped over his face obscuring his eyes from view. "Your my only friend. People assume I have allot of friends but their wrong, all of them, wrong." He said very softly not moving an inch.

"Me...a friend. That's a lie I've never had a friend and i know i never will. And to be honest you didn't even know i was here in the first place, so me leaving would put you right back where you were before i started crying to you." She shifted into kampfer form suddenly. "...Either there is someone else here or my emotions did something, because you are normal right now..." She glanced around, eyes hard now.

Sofia smiled as she saw Marisa shift forms and start searching for her with her eyes, and covered a yawn with her hand as she jammed a knife into the trunk of the tree with her other, seeping her magic into it steadily.

Clicking her fingers, she sent a shadow-self dashing through the woods towards them, and waited to see their reaction.

"Someone here?" Oliver at his bracelet then looking up seeing the shadow dashing towards him. "Ah!" He smashed his arm against the tree nearest to him. "Work damn it, work. Ow maybe not a good idea. Damn thing why does it never work when I want it to."

Marisa shoved Oliver out of the way, then unsheathed her sword, holding it backhanded. She run forward at the shadow, stepped to the side at the last second and attempted to run it through at the chest.

The Shadow ran straight onto Marisa's outstretched blade, disintegrating quickly as Sofia grinned and stepped out from next to the tree, stopping a short distance from the tree in clear view.

Oliver hit the ground and on impact transforming.
"Ah now thats better."

Rosa Jumped up quickly and ran to Marisa's side, readying in her right arm. "Over there in the trees."

Marisa glanced back at Oliver, then looked to Sofia. "Yeah...kinda hard to miss as she just made herself visible. I wonder if she can fight without resorting to shadows... A blade is a better weapon than anything else if you use it right."

"Yeah, about the fighting. Not going to happen." Sofia called out, amused at their eagerness to fight. She only wanted to see how Gherik's sister handled surprises, and apparently did so relatively well.

"Im sure you'd love to, but I have better things to do. Please, continue your emotional conversation....thing." She said, turning away and walking back towards the tree.

"So you made me transform for nothing!" Rosa yelled, pulling a face at sofia. Then turning to Marisa. "So what do we do now?"
